The most famous ABC book in Poland is the Falski’s ELEMENTARZ.
It was a reading and writing book for 7 years old primary pupils. There were two separate versions, one for villages and a different one for towns. The first heros were Tomek, Jacek and Adam – there were no girls 
.
The book was colourful with beautiful illustrations.
