Roberto Cammarelle won the Olympic boxing title in the category of supermassimi (over 91 kg) for the Beijing Games. The blue of Lymm exceeded significantly the Chinese Zhang Zhilei. Cammarelle, the second medal at “five circles” after the bronze in Athens 2004, dominated the match, closed when ko missing 19 “at the end of the fourth and final round.

A relevant experience had our students when Elli Mystakidoy came to our school after gaining ,in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens the silver medal. Elisavet Mystakidou ,born August 14, 1977 in our city,Giannitsa-Yiannitsa-, is a Greek taekwondo practitioner and Olympic medalist.
Mystakidou also won three bronze medals at the 1993, 2001 and 2003 World Taekwondo Championships. In the 2008 Summer Olympics, she lost her debut against Asunción Ocasio of Puerto Rico.
